From the Volunteer Committee Chair- Wink Beadel
There we were…MORE COVID, more time in the house, more time in “your bubble”, no restaurants open (well, very few), and CERTAINLY no Clayton Opera House.
Then…THEN, a light at the end of the tunnel! We ever so slowly started up again, with a few volunteers at a time, and our wonderful schedulers, Jane O’Neill and Judi Peterson, contacting you, our valuable team! Jane has been scheduling for many years and Judie who has been a volunteer with the Opera House for years, joined Jane in working with scheduling two years ago.
True, there have been some who continue to be cautious and we wish you well, and some who have moved OR moved on to other ventures. We miss you, and hope you’ll come back and join us in the future. To our “newbies”, WELCOME!! There are quite a few of you and we’re HAPPY to have you become a part of our merry band.
To our returning volunteers and to all, there are not words to tell you how grateful we are for your time,
talents and these days, flexibility with schedules!!! We continue to be careful, and follow pandemic protocol (contact the box office for that information).
Our season for 2022 is OUTSTANDING, and with more than 80 events and shows, volunteers WILL BE NEEDED! To those who winter over with us, THANK YOU and to those volunteers who hang out in Southern climes, bring your runnin’ shoes with you when you come back ‘cause you’ll need them!!
Here’s to a lessening of Covid in 2022 and Cheers to the NEW YEAR!
With thanks to all and wishes for a warm, wonderful holiday season…
