How nice it has been to feel a semblance of “normalcy” this year! I enjoyed the opportunity to see all of our ticket buyers as I greeted them before our shows. It was so refreshing! All of the smiling faces and getting to know more of our patrons that I hadn’t met yet was wonderful, especially at our Patrons’ Lounge during show intermissions. My husband and I welcomed a son the day of Lee Greenwood, a sold-out performance and a very busy day at the Opera House (sorry, Julie!!). I was sad to miss a good chunk of our performances this summer but obviously very thankful for my time off to spend with my family.
After much research, a new carpet with the Opera House logo was purchased to greet our patrons at the front door. In addition, we now have stylus Clayton Opera House pens. First used at the November wine pairing, they will be distributed at the events on and off-site that we attend throughout the year. Both of these purchases, the carpet and pens, are perfect touches to complete not only our aesthetic, but also our marketing and brand awareness.
Speaking of marketing, we are currently looking for any businesses that would like to purchase an ad in our program brochures for the 2023 season. These brochures are printed for all of our shows and are seen by many people. This past season, our attendance at Opera House events exceeded 13,000!! The pricing for these ads is very affordable and gets your name/messaging in front of a lot of people, so please let me know if you’re interested!
In addition, did you know you can rent the performance hall and/or ballroom for an event? Most of the public knows that we have weddings here, but we have also hosted dinners, birthday parties, baby/bridal showers, business gatherings and even proms. Really, anything you could possibly need to rent a space for, we can do! Please reach out to Julie or myself for rental inquiries!
