The TIPAF Arts in Education Committee is yet another way that the Clayton Opera House reaches out to our extended community by providing quality arts programming for North Country students in grades PreK to 12. These performances are live on the Opera House stage, and free to participating schools, thanks to continued support from our Board of Directors, grants, personal and business sponsors.
The Arts in Education program at the Clayton Opera House was established to bring The Arts to our schools. There are two main goals for this program. Maximize the number of students exposed to the performing arts and to expand children and young adult programming year-round at the opera house.
There are 4 days of performances scheduled for 2025. These include Rev Theatre's The Fisherman and His Wife for grades K-2, the Syracuse Orchestra Percussion Ensemble for grades 6-8, the Yale Alley Cats (A Capella) for grades 9-12, and a Fall performance to be determined.
In 2024, over 1500 area students attended these free performances.
If you are interested in sponsoring one of these performances, either as an individual or a business, please reach out to Shauna or Julie at [email protected] or [email protected].
