Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist Taj Mahal is without doubt one of the most prominent and influential figures in blues and roots music. He began as a bluesman over 40 years ago, and has since broadened his scope to include music from every corner of the world – west Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Hawaiian Islands, and much more. Listing the people he’s played with or influenced would be impossible, but would include some of the most important and well-known musicians of the age.
