The instrumentation might suggest a rock band, but Los Lobos is so much more. Coming out of East Los Angeles over 30 years ago, these veterans play styles as diverse as Norteno, Mariachi, Zydeco, gypsy jazz, and R&B. They’ve played at the White House and in stadium shows with U2. They are virtuosi, they are consumate entertainers playing with emotional directness. The members of Los Lobos are “first and foremost friends, and when you hear their music, you hear the sound of friendship.”
