Welcome To The Clayton Opera House
The newly renovated Clayton Opera House is now open year-round for
performances and private or public functions. Built in 1903, this historic
landmark has served the 1000 Islands in many roles for more then a century.
Owned by the Town of Clayton and managed by the Thousand Islands Performing
Arts Fund, the three story structure houses the Town offices on the lower
level, a balconied performance hall with proscenium stage on floors one and
two, and a ballroom and meeting rooms on the top floor.
Events from concerts to films and dances to theatrical performances are
booked into the hall regularly. Please check our events calendar often for
more information!

Programming Study to be Conducted
The programs offered at the Opera House each summer through the
Cornerstone and Sunday Series, and the extended programming offered
September through May, are the backbone of our organization. TIPAF exists to
bring quality performing arts events to the people of the Thousand Islands
region. Diversity, quality, artistic merit, widespread appeal - these are
all attributes that our programming committee weighs carefully when
selecting the performers each season. It is no easy task to narrow down the
field of options and pick the artists that fulfill our mission and appeal to
all of you. Our success is directly linked to your satisfaction. This being
said, we are delighted to share that TIPAF was recently named the recipient
of a generous and competitive grant from the Fresh Sound Foundation to
conduct a programming study through which we will be asking YOU, our
patrons, about what you’d like to see on the Opera House stage. We are
excited to have this opportunity to hear directly from our audience about
your interests, likes and dislikes. We’ll be conducting the study throughout
the summer months. We hope you’ll lend your support by offering a few
minutes of your time to answers questions and meet with members of our study
team.
Thank You To Our 2008 Corporate Sponsors!
